Some time back I loaded up some 85 gr 2FF with 1/2 ball of cotton and a HB lubed cast seated to the top groove. I put a 7/16 wax paper at the base to prevent the lube from contacting the powder
I have not had a chance to try these out yet but took one apart the other day and the powder did not readily pour out and seemed like it had hardened.
Is this becaouse I had over-compressed the powder with maybe too much cotton?
Reading the range report posted by Pommy (and not wanting to jack his thread) would I be better to omit the cotton and lube from the base and just dip in udder sauce and leave the powder loose?
